Welcome to Steep Current. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of steepcurrent.com (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from it. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to purchase from us. We currently sell and ship only within the United States.

2. Products

We sell loose-leaf tea and related goods. Product descriptions, ingredient lists, and images are provided for general information. We make no guarantee that descriptions or other content are complete, accurate, or error-free. Tea is a food product; please review the ingredient list before purchase if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

3. Health Disclaimer

Statements about our products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Consult your physician before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Payment is processed securely through Stripe; by ordering you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total order amount, including shipping and any applicable tax. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel any order arising from such an error, even after it has been submitted or confirmed.

5. Orders

We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse, or cancel any order at any time for any reason, including suspected fraud or resale. If we cancel an order you have paid for, your sole remedy is a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled items.

6. Shipping and Risk of Loss

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier marks your order as delivered. See our Refund and Returns Policy for the limited circumstances in which we address shipping problems.

7. Returns

All sales are final except as expressly stated in our Refund and Returns Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Reviews and Submissions

Any review, comment, or other content you submit may be used by us in any lawful manner without compensation to you. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that it is truthful and your own.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including the Steep Current name, logos, text, and images — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steep Current and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Steep Current and its owners from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or products.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to their jurisdiction. You agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days before initiating formal proceedings.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted; your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
